Left out of the list of players eligible to play in the Champions League by Maurizio Sarri, Emre Can is not a happy bunny at Juventus these days.
Not only was he deprived of playing in the elite European competition, but the midfielder has also featured for just 150 minutes of football this season for the Turin side.
That’s led to a number of stories of him potentially leaving the Serie A champions in January, with Manchester United being brought into the mix.
Their need for reinforcement in the middle of the park is well-known, and while clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be circling, it’s the Old Trafford side who get the most coverage in Corriere dello Sport‘s article.
Should that be the case, the Serie A side would be looking to obtain ‘at least €40m’ for the German international, whom they originally picked up on a free from Liverpool back in 2018.
However, if clubs wait until the summer, a €50m clause will become available for them to trigger.
It could come down to whether or not clubs like Bayern Munich or Manchester United want to bother haggling for €10m, or just pay the clause outright and avoid unnecessary time wasting in talks.
