Sevilla would be open to a deal with West Ham for striker Youssef En-Nesyri, but are yet to open any ‘formal negotiation’ for the striker.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say that despite the reports in England, there is no ‘verification or confirmation’ by Sevilla regarding a potential deal.

En-Nesyri has been linked with a move to West Ham for the last two years, with a deal never taking place for various reasons.

They have been linked again this month as David Moyes looks to solve the goalscoring problems that were not fixed by the arrival of Gianluca Scamacca in the summer.

Reports in England have made it clear that a new bid has been made to Sevilla, with it claimed that was not close to what the Spanish side would be looking for.

It seems that is not how the situation is seen in Seville, though, with Estadio reporting that despite the rumours in the United Kingdom, there has been ‘no verification or confirmation’ from Sevilla that there is any ‘formal negotiation’ underway with West Ham.

That’s not to say they wouldn’t be interested in a deal, with the newspaper making it clear that Sevilla would find it more ‘preferable’ to sell the striker than teammate Yassine Bono.

That means there is a deal there to be done if the Hammers want it, but so far it seems their interest has not transcribed into anything serious despite reports saying otherwise.
