Zinedine Zidane is a fan of Lucas Vázquez after having used him on the wings and also in the right-back position at Real Madrid this season.

Los Blancos’ manager has urged the La Liga side to offer an extension to the 29-year-old as he continues to draw attention from Manchester United and other clubs.

His current deal expires at the end of this season and he’s so far decided against signing an extension.

That’s because Vázquez isn’t happy with the renewal proposal tabled by Real Madrid, while the Red Devils have made a ‘better’ offer for him to join them on a free transfer in the summer.

Defensa Central once again explain there is ‘talk of Manchester United’, but the Spaniard is yet to decide on his future. In other words, ‘nothing closed or ruled out’.

It’s claimed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are following the versatile player and will closely watch him when Real Madrid face Liverpool in the Champions League this week.

Vázquez, whose future is ‘still up in air’ remains hopeful he can ‘make a great impression’ in the two-legged tie against the Reds, and that would be sufficient for United or another English club to make an attempt for him in the next market.

As of now, the report states his future points more towards the Premier League than at Real Madrid.

Time is running out for the Spanish giants to retain Vázquez, while he hopes to attract interest from United or another English club.
