Following Loris Karius’ potentially concussion-based performance in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, the rumours sending goalkeepers to Liverpool have increased quite a bit.

A resurgence in the Alisson interest has been the most prominent story, as has a potential move for Jack Butland, but Il Tempo on Tuesday believe the Reds could be interested in another Serie A goalkeeper.

That man is Thomas Strakosha, Lazio’s 23-year-old goalkeeper, who enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2017-18, and quickly saw his stock rise on the transfer market as a result.

According to the Italian newspaper, there has been talk of a potential €30m offer arriving from Liverpool, which is an amount Lazio are said to be willing to consider should it land on their desk.

It seems Alisson remains the main target for Jürgen Klopp, so could Strakosha be the backup plan should the Brazilian prove to be too expensive?

Having failed to qualify for the Champions League, the Serie A club are considering a few sales, including the possibility of parting ways with Felipe Anderson, all the while bracing themselves for the moment when someone will slap €110m+ on the table for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

It’s going to be a busy summer for Lazio, and it will be interesting to see who they end up keeping for next season.
