Tottenham Hostpur have spotted a young Norwegian goalkeeper they’d like to have a closer look at, reports Stavanger Aftenblad.
Isak Midttun Solberg has only recently turned 15 years of age but he’s already 6ft 2in so it seems like goalkeeping was a logical career choice. He’s currently playing for a club called Bryne, and they’re all very excited about Tottenham taking a look.
Even Sel, a coach at the side, is quoted as saying: “He is a very talented goalkeeper with good attitude and good prerequisites for being good. He is coachable and ambitious. We believe that Isak can become a good keeper of Bryne in the future.”
Asle Tjøtta, also of Bryne, added: “He is enormously dedicated and at the same time humble. We are thinking of long-term development, he is still very young, but there is no doubt that he is an exciting keeper.”
Having already debuted for Bryne’s senior team, at the age of 14, the youngster looks to have a big future ahead of him and next week he’s arriving in England. Solberg will be training with Tottenham’s U16 and U18 teams and have a chance to show the best of himself.
Tjøtta said it’s fun for everyone at the Norwegian club to know their young goalkeeper is going to be at Tottenham showing what he can do, and there’s pride taken in the fact he’s been noticed by Spurs.
