Swedish coach Andrée Jeglertz could be on his way to Brighton & Hove Albion Women, according to reports from the local media.
It’s Aftonbladet who reveals that after a couple of years in charge of Linkopings, he could now be on his way out of the club.
It’s said Brighton ‘showed interest’ in his signing, and he ‘may be’ on his way to England.
Aftonbladet even tried to confirm that information with a couple of sources, but with no success. They first tried to speak to Jeglertz himself and had no response. Then in contact with Linkopings chairman Johan Ladenberg, there was no confirmation or denial.
Then asked if he denies that information, he claimed: “I can’t say anything about it at all. There will probably be information shortly.”
Brighton have been without a full-time manager since Hope Powell stepped down from the job at the end of October. In the past few fixtures, the Seagulls had Amy Merricks as an interim coach in that position, so it makes sense that Linkopings are making some mystery about Jeglertz’s move.
