Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet go with a headline on Saturday evening reading ‘Flying to England to make it clear’, and report that Victor Lindelof has a schedule to travel and make his Manchester United transfer complete.

Lindelof is set to fly out after Sweden’s match against Norway. The country play their neighbours Norway in a friendly on Tuesday 13th June in Oslo, and the central defender would be due to fly out after that, likely having his medical on Wednesday.

Aftonbladet’s claims on all the above are very close to what has been coming out of Portugal over the past week, with there now being widespread confidence that a deal will be complete soon.

There’s some disagreement on price and when and how personal terms have been, or will be, discussed, but the consensus is the same… Victor Lindelof is signing for Manchester United very soon.

The Swedish defender was strongly linked with Manchester United ahead of the winter window, as Benfica made desperate efforts to sell players. Jose Mourinho and his club were happy to wait, and that also gave Benfica a chance to sort out their disagreement with Lindelof’s former club about a percentage of any transfer due to them
