Leeds United’s Pontus Jansson has told the Swedish media he’ll meet his agent next month to discuss his future. The Swede has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer after his impressive form for Leeds United this season.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, who believe the defender’s Leeds stay is ‘uncertain’, Jansson was asked about his future following claims the likes of Southampton are looking to sign the 26-year-old.
Jansson said he isn’t currently thinking about next season, and his main concern at the moment is getting married. After speaking about his wife’s Hen Party, the Leeds United star confirmed he’ll meet with Martin Dahlin when he’s away with the Swedish national team.
“Right now, I’ll go on holiday and get married, that’s the only thing I look forward to now, then I’ll go back to Leeds and we’ll take it from there. I’ll meet with my agent Martin (Dahlin) during the international break, then we all talk about my future and stuff,” said Jansson.
In recent weeks Jansson has been linked with a move to Southampton after reports Virgl van Dijk could move in the next window. The Sweden international has never hidden the fact he wants to play in the Premier League, and with Leeds United failing to get promotion this season he could be tempted should the Saints interest be serious.
