Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston spent the last season on loan at La Liga side Eibar.
The 23 year old Spanish striker was in impressive form, as he bagged 18 goals in 36 league appearances, but that might not be enough to convince Diego Simeone to keep him at Vicente Calderon.
A couple of weeks ago, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported Swansea City are interested in the services of Baston and that Francesco Guidolin believes he’d be ideal for the Welsh club.
Latest reports from Mundo Deportivo suggest Atletico Madrid are ready to offload few players to generate cash.
The Spanish side have spent €80m on Diogo Jota, Gaitan, Vrsaljko and Gameiro, and they must now sell a few players to balance the books .
It is reported Baston could complete his move to the Premier League this week, with Swansea and West Bromwich Albion both interested.
Atletico Madrid, however, want a buy back option on the player, and it remains to be seen if Swansea or West Bromwich Albion would agree to that.
