Swansea are looking to sign a centre-back after the departure of Ashley Williams to Everton. Recently, Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin admitted they want to sign a defender, and have already created a short-list that includes players from Serie A.
One of the names on the list could be Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux, reports Gazzamercato.
It is reported Guidolin has asked to sign the French defender, who has just another year left on his contract at the Serie A club. Gazzamercato claim Udinese value the defender at around €4m, and the price tag shouldn’t be a problem for the Welsh club.
Heurtaux signed for Udinese in 2012 in a €3m deal from Caen, and has made 90 league appearances for the Serie A club.
It’s not the first time Swansea have been linked with the player, with interest apparently going back quite a while.
