After Monday’s news that Marseille would not be making Bafétimbi Gomis’ loan from last season a permanent transfer, the Swansea striker is in need of a new club.

Over the past few weeks, the most realistic alternative to staying in the south of France was a move to Turkey with Galatasaray, and it appears that is on the verge of being done.

According to Mercato365 in France, hidden at the bottom of an article regarding the Turkish club’s negotiations for Dynamo Kiev’s Younes Belhanda, the Swansea forward is set to leave Liberty Stadium for around €2.5m.

Arriving on a free from Lyon in 2014, the Swans will undoubtedly be pleased with any kind of profit, and €2.5m isn’t exactly anything to turn your nose up at, especially for a 31-year-old nearing the end of his contract (2018).

The former France international is expected to sign a two year contract with the Turkish side, with an option of an extra year.
