Fenerbahçe are chasing Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis, report Takvim. The Turkish newspaper claim Fenerbahçe are looking to sign the striker this summer because of the likely departures of Emmanuel Emenike and Jose Fernandao.

The Swansea City player is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille, where he’s scored 17 goals this season. The Fenerbahçe board think the 32-year old still has a lot to offer, and they are following Gomis’ situation closely.

Takvim report Fenerbahçe are ready for long negotiations with Swansea City to sign Gomis, and the Turkish club are hoping they can land the Frenchman on the cheap.

Fenerbahçe have also linked with Aytemiz Alanyaspor’s Vagner Love, so signing an experienced striker certainly one of the priorities for Yellow Canaries this summer. Any move for Gomis’ certainly depends on Swansea City’s Premier League status for next season.

Gomis joined Swansea from Lyon in 2014 and played for the Premier League side for two seasons before joining Marseille on loan.

The player is currently under contract with Swansea until 2018, and extra interest will be good for both Gomis and Swansea, it means Marseille won’t have it all their own way.
