Valencia are reportedly considering making an attempt to sign Borja Bastón from Swansea City in January.
The Spaniard isn’t getting many minutes at the Liberty Stadium and could be leaving on a loan until the end of the season, according to El Desmarque.
Valencia are said to consider Bastón to be one of the best possible signings for the winter market. Both the player and Swansea City reportedly like the option too, as a temporary change of scene could help the striker to find his good form.
Bastón has 346 minutes played in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal after seven appearances.
The player didn’t join the English club on a cheap deal. Swansea spent €18m on the signing last summer, so it’s not the kind of investment you don’t expect much of.
Valencia had already tried the signing during the summer and were said to be in advanced negotiations at the time. Now they’re in contact with the player again, and given the reported goodwill from all the parties, the loan until the end of the season seems a real possibility as far as the Spanish report is concerned.
