Leeds United and Swansea City seem to be in talks for the transfer of Joel Piroe, according to what’s being said in the Dutch media.
Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink says these are ‘exciting hours’ for the former PSV player, as a late move in the transfer window ‘may be still a possibility’.
The reporter claims a ‘good source’ of his says there’s a chance the striker could still move to Leeds United, even though his connections at the Whites are still to confirm that.
This isn’t the first time the Elland Road side have been linked to Piroe, yet with no information on how much they could be paying for the transfer, we’re really left in the dark about what Swansea City could make with the move.
It was last summer that the Championship side signed the striker from PSV in a €1.2m deal. During his time at the Welsh club, he’s managed 26 goals in 54 appearances, including the two he already scored for them at the start of this season.
The Dutchman can play in multiple positions in attack, and with Leeds working hard to reinforce that sector this late in the window, he turns up to be a versatile option.
