Over the last few weeks, we’ve been updating you on Bafétimbi Gomis’ possible departure to Marseille, and it now appears the transfer has been completing.
Yesterday, Gomis was in Marseille to complete his medical examinations and has signed a contract, claims L’Equipe on Friday.
The 30-year-old is now expected to fly to Halle in Germany to join his new teammates for pre-season training.
The Ligue 1 club had agreed a loan deal for Gomis, but won’t have a right of redemption to buy him at the end of next season.
Marseille have agreed to pay 60% of his wages, which is around €5m/season.
Gomis has spent most of the time on the bench after the arrival of Francesco Guidolin, and was expected to leave the club this summer.
