After a long period of rumours saying Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian could be heading back to Italy, it seems there could be actually another destination for him.
According to Onda Cero, it’s Valencia who are now interested in bringing the 27-year-old to Spain.
The La Liga club are aware the defender isn’t getting maximum game time at Old Trafford, and Darmian himself would be ‘delighted’ to join the club.
Despite reporting that Valencia are targeting him, there’s no further information on negotiations taking place, although they claim he would be a signing for the summer, as the club have other priorities for the winter market.
Onda Certo claims Darmian would be a signing for the right-back position, even though he’s struggled convince in that role when playing for Manchester United.
The player has eight appearances for the club this season, and with his contract expiring in 2019, next summer could be a good time for a deal.
