Last night, Sweden said goodbye to any chances of going to the Euro, as they got defeated 3-0 in their trip to Azerbaijan.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski was on the pitch through the whole match, and was one of those who felt sorry for the fans who travelled to see the game.
Swedish outlet Aftonbladet features some of his quotes, with him lamenting the loss. And asked whether the players should pay for the fans’ trip, he claims there’s a possibility.
“We are here to talk. If some supporters want it, it’s a discussion we absolutely have to have.”
“Now we don’t know if that’s what they want, but if they feel that it’s what they’re looking for, we can absolutely have that discussion.”
Sweden still have a last match against Estonia to be played on Sunday, and only then Kulusevski is rejoining Tottenham’s squad.
The full-back may not have impressing stats this season, with only three goals in 13 appearances, but has been a very important man for Ange Postecoglou, as he was a starter in all of Spurs’ matches in the Premier League so far.
Tottenham will be back on the pitch on the 26th of November, when they play Aston Villa and even have a new chance to get back to the top of the table.
