Turkish newspaper Gunes claim Besiktas are interested in signing Luton Town goalkeeper Simon Sluga as they look to bring in a replacement for Liverpool loanee Loris Karius.
We recently covered reports from Turkish press which said the Liverpool owned goalkeeper will return to Merseyside after reaching an agreement to cancel his contract with Besiktas.
Besiktas have reportedly identified Sluga as a replacement to the German ahead of next season, and Gunes say talks between the two clubs are underway.
It’s reported Luton Town value the player, who joined the Championship club last summer from Rijeka, in the region of €1m.
The final decision with regards to the goalkeeper situation will be made by Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin, and Gunes say Sluga is one of the players he’s currently considering.
There have been reports the Super Lig side are also showing an interest in Fulham’s Fabri, who previously played for the Black Eagles.
Sluga has made 25 appearances Luton Town this season in all competitions, and is under contract with the club until June 2022.
