Yeni Asir claim Turkish Super Lig outfit Goztepe are looking to sign Celtic left back Emilio Izaguirre.

The Turkish club are hoping to bring in a left back after their first-choice Adama Traore ruptured his ACL at the beginning of the season, and the Celtic man looks to be an option.

According to Yeni Asir, Izaguirre has emerged as a target for the Izmir club and Goztepe officials are ready to open talks with Celtic.

It’s reported Goztepe are looking to sign the player permanently and are hoping they can convince Celtic over the Honduran international

The 32 year old’s contract with the Scottish champions will expire at the end of the season and Goztepe are looking to sign him on a cut-price fee.

Izaguirre returned to Celtic at the start of the season following a spell with Saudi Arabian club Al-Feiha and has played 9 games for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
