Fanatik have reported on the latest developments in Fenerbahce’s purist of Sunderland’s Jeremain Lens, and it seems a deal is in danger.

The Turkish newspaper have claimed Lens’ wage demands are a big concern for Fenerbahce, and subsequently the Yellow Canaries want the Sunderland player to lower his demands.

According to Fanatik, Lens wants €4m per year, after he earned €3.4m last season during his loan spell with the Turkish side. The Fenerbahce board have made it clear they’re not going to offer the Dutchman that kind of wage, and they have informed the Sunderland outcast they’ll pay him in the region of €3m a season.

It’s currently unclear where Lens will end up this summer, with Fenerbahce’s local rivals Besiktas also showing a strong interest in the former PSV player.

It seems he has no future at Sunderland given the comments he made about the club last season, and a move looks to be his only option.
