NtvSpor have reported Fenerbahçe are closing in on Sunderland attacker Jeremain Lens. The Turkish giants are also targeting Borussia Dortmund’s Emre Mor, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.
The Turkish website have claimed the Sunderland winger is ‘counting the days for a return to Turkey’ after he labelled Fenerbahçe as ‘his home’ to close friends.
According to NtvSpor, Lens can’t wait to sign Fenerbahçe, with claims the Turkish club are in the final stages of negotiations with Sunderland.
It’s been well documented in the Turkish press that Lens wants to return to Fenerbahce, and it seems he’ll finally get his wish. Lens spent last season on loan with the Yellow Canneries from Sunderland, and impressed during his time in Turkey.
Fenerbahçe’s domestic rivals Besiktas are also in the market for a winger, following the injury to Gokhan Tore.
The Turkish champions have recently been linked with a move for Sunderland’s Lens, but their manager Senol Gunes has confirmed they are looking for a Turkish winger to replace Tore.
