Over the past few days, we’ve been reporting Sunderland’s interest in Torino’s Davide Zappacosta.
Italian website Tutto Mercato Web reported Sunderland are ready to spend €10m on Zappacosta, and that Torino were considering it, whilst Gazzetta dello Sport claimed a €10m bid has already been made for the defender.
Another Italian newspaper La Stampa claim Zappacosta could be leaving the club this summer, and that Torino have slapped a price tag of €10m on him. La Stampa say Sunderland are not scared of the price tag, and are ready to discuss it.
It is reported Sassuolo and Fiorentina are also interested in the player, and a decision could be made next week over his future.
Zappacosta only signed for Torino last summer in a €5m deal, and it appears he is set to leave the club as he doesn’t feature in Sinisa Mihajlovic’s plans for the season.
The €10m figure is being repeatedly reported, and that may be to send a message out about price tag.
