Will Still very much remains in the picture to take the permanent Sunderland job in the summer.
The Reims boss has been among the favourites since the Black Cats started looking for a new manager, and that’s continued since Mike Dodds took the role until the end of the season.
Reims, and specifically the media around the French club, were a little annoyed when the Sunderland claims started. Now there’s some calm and they’re looking at replacements… including someone who used to play for Newcastle United.
In an another example of what a small football world we live in, L’Union report Reims are keen on Habib Beye, who played for Newcastle United being 2007 and 2009.
After Newcastle United, he moved to Aston Villa and then dropped down to Doncaster Rovers. Now in management with Red Star in the Championnat National, France’s third division, Bebe is an option for Reims if they lose Will Still to Sunderland or anyone else this summer.
Still has another year left on his contract at Reims.
