Sabah have claimed Fenerbahçe are targeting Sheffield Wednesday’s Claude Dielna as a replacement for their captain Simon Kjaer, but face competition from Sunderland.
The Denmark international is expected to leave the club after two seasons with the Turkish giants, with Hull City, Liverpool, Milan and Marseille all linked with a move for the player.
The Fenerbahçe board are currently considering their options about who’ll partner Martin Skrtel next season and Sheffield Wednesday owned Claude Dielna, who’s currently on loan at Dinamo Bucharesti, has emerged as a target.
The 29-year old has been offered to Fenerbahçe and the Turkish club are giving serious consideration to signing the Frenchman. The main positive about a possible transfer is Dielna’s contract with Sheffield Wednesday will expire at the end of the season, which allows Fenerbahce to snap him up on a free.
It’s also been reported Sunderland are in the hunt for Dielna as David Moyes preparea for life without Lamine Kone. The central defender is unlikely look to stay with the Premier League side after Sunderland’s relegation.
Dielna joined Sheffield Wednesday from Ajaccio back in 2014 and had a loan spell with Slovan Bratislava before his move to Dinamo Bucharesti.
