Eduardo Salvio’s transfer saga is something that could drag on until the end of the transfer window. So here we are again, with not so good news, at least for the Sunderland fans who want the Argentine at the club.
Now AC Milan are said to be interested in the Argentine winger. Both Record and A Bola claim that because Jorge Mendes is taking care of the transfer, and with his partners from Fosun Group doing a takeover at the italian side, this addition makes it an obvious transfer.
But Sunderland are still said to be “an open door” for the player, since they have the “financial capacity” to buy the man who Benifica want to sell for €25m.
In Record’s article, they say that Milan’s interest should delay Salvio’s departure, especially because Salvio already had a verbal agreement with an English club.
These claims come from the same paragraph as the Sunderland interest, but they still say “a club” refusing to link this to the Black Cats.
It continues to be a weird story, with no date to end. It will probably be a matter of who pays €25m first, and it seems that Sunderland are already taking too long to do that. Maybe because they never intended to do so.
Back to Milan, the Fosun takeover is nowhere near done. Indeed, Milan are currently in a period of exclusivity with another buyer.
