West Ham supporters can be forgiven if they’re becoming frustrated over the Nikola Milenkovic situation.
As far as the Italian media have it, the defender has been on the verge of moving to the Hammers for over a week now.
West Ham and Fiorentina have been in talks, and at one point it was claimed it was just the agent commission which needed to be agreed, yet the Serbian is still in Italy and part of La Viola’s training squad.
Tuttosport remain confident, saying ‘his suitcases are now ready’ and the player is set to leave the Serie A club for ‘destination West Ham’. They don’t seem concerned at all by Milenkovic being named in Fiorentina’s squad for the 2021/22 season, and put the transfer fee at €16m.
On one hand they state an announcement could be imminent, and on the other they say it could come after August 15th, the reason for the latter isn’t made clear.
Corriere Fiorentino report the player ‘could leave at any moment’, but that’s all they have to offer on the situation right now.
