Malmo forward Pawel Cibicki could be playing his last game for the Swedish club today, ahead of his proposed move to Leeds United.
It’s been claimed in the Swedish media that the Championship side have tabled a bid for Cibicki. Leeds United will be hoping to bring in another forward before the window closes, following recent departures from Elland Road.
Göteborgs Posten have reported on today’s clash between IFK and Malmo at the Gamla Ullevi stadium. The Swedish newspaper reports even though Cibicki is rumoured to be on his way to Leeds United, the 23 year old is still expected to play for Malmo this afternoon.
With the deadline fast approaching, the suggestion is Cibicki could be saying his goodbyes to the Malmo fans on Sunday. The game with IFK today will be Malmo’s last before the deadline.
On Saturday, Sportbladet reported Leeds United have tabled a bid of 15m Krona for Cibicki, which equates to around £1.5m.
The Championship side will continue to hold talks with Malmo, and with just five days left of the window, a move to England looks a strong possibility for the player.
