Leicester City’s team to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday had something unusual about it: Vicente Iborra.

It was the midfielder’s second start of the season in the Premier League and a chance for him to force his way into Claude Puel’s plans. Iborra didn’t exactly see the plan go the way he’ll have wanted, coming off injured in the first half after failing to impress.

Leicester drew the match 1-1 and the atmosphere around the result is very much negative.

Marca have a small article on Sunday and they go over their claims of Sevilla being interested in signing the player back. It’s something they’ve been pushing for a couple of weeks, with Levante and Villarreal also keen according to the Spanish media.

It’s stated that in the midst of these rumours, Puel has, all of a sudden, decided to give Iborra a chance in the team, with the insinuation being the manager has been encouraged by the transfer claims.

Iborra was keen on an exit in the summer, and said in September that Leicester had prevented a move, insisting he was an important member of the squad.

They seem to believe Puel was trying to prove that.
