On Monday, France’s Le10 Sport reported Tottenham have been told by Adrien Rabiot’s entourage that the player isn’t interested in joining them, either in January or as a free agent when his contract ends in June.

That line of thinking isn’t universal in the French media, and Tuesday’s edition of L’Equipe again pushes Spurs forward as a possibility.

Whilst the player’s name is said to circulate at the Manchester duo, some clubs have ‘already taken’ action which L’Equipe then name as Tottenham, Juventus and Barcelona.

‘Some’ of those ‘plan to make a proposal’ during the January window, but Rabiot himself is said to prefer to wait and move to Barca as a free agent next summer.

That isn’t PSG’s preference, and they’d like a transfer fee.

It’s been reported previously in France that the Parisians would look to send Rabiot to a friendly club, such as Spurs, in the winter market, rather than lose him to the Catalan side for nothing.

This could be an interesting situation between now and the end of the January window, with the possibility of PSG freezing the player out completely.
