As the contract of Adrien Rabiot with Juventus expires at the end of the season, we’re heading towards a few months when the player will be surrounded by more transfer rumours.
And as Calcio Mercato today writes about the midfielder’s future, they name Manchester City as one of the potential destinations for him in the summer.
It’s said that Rabiot even opened negotiations to renew his deal with Juventus, but there are two issues with that. First that the Old Lady are not sure they can pay him what they already offered, since they’re waiting for the outcome of the legal proceedings which may stop them from making such investment. Then there’s the fact that the player doesn’t give him the priority and is set to listen to more offers.
That’s where Premier League clubs come in, with Manchester City included. English sides can afford a bigger salary, and that could match the midfielder’s request, which is €10m plus bonuses.
Besides Manchester City, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain are all named as clubs where Rabiot could head to, as ‘everyone wants’ him. So it’s very clear he and his mother will be happy to hold an auction this summer, as his recent quotes don’t show any kind of commitment towards Juventus.
