Manchester City’s João Cancelo was on loan at Inter Milan during the 2017/18 season and enjoyed a good spell at the San Siro.

However, things haven’t gone well for the right-back since then as he struggled at Juventus (last season) and the situation hasn’t improved since joining the Premier League winners last summer.

During the winter market, There were rumours about interest from Bayern Munich and the Nerazzurri in the 25-year-old, and it’s continued even after the January window closed.

Calciomercato now claims a possible return to Inter may be a ‘good deal’ for Caneclo.

The Italian website makes it clear the transfer would only work if the ‘price is right’ and Antonio Conte’s side don’t have to ‘sacrifice’ Milan Škriniar in return.

It’s claimed that the English champions are closely following the centre-back.

If Inter are provided an opportunity to sign Cancelo, they would say ‘yes’, but will make sure Škriniar isn’t included as part of the operation.
