Back in August, journalist Marc Mechenoua reported Leeds United and Norwich City had held talks to sign Hammarby IF’s Jusef Erabi in the summer window. He also stated the Swedish club valued the striker at €10m.
Daniel Farke’s side and the Canaries weren’t able to secure the 21-year-old’s services.
Fast forward to December and TuttoMercatoWeb mention Leeds United and Norwich City failing to sign Erabi when providing the latest on Genoa.
TMW point out Leeds and Norwich City have followed the player for several months and suggest the two clubs could return for him.
The Sweden U21 international was already on Genoa’s radar last December, when he was valued at around €2m. The frontman’s name is back on the Serie A side’s agenda for the winter market.
Genoa have made new contacts to try and sign Erabi, but they have to be wary of the competition England. It’s claimed these clubs could make ‘new attempts’ for the Swede in the next window.
With Leeds and Norwich City already making attempts last year, it’s possible they could make another approach and could compete with Genoa in January.
The player managed eight goals and two assists from 24 games for Hammarby this year.
