Remember Michu? Well, we have a new one of those this year, and his name is Teemu Pukki.

The Finland international has taken the Premier League by storm with Norwich this season, scoring six goals (and two assists) in eight appearances, and that hasn’t gone unnoticed around Europe.

One of those clubs, according to Calcio Mercato News, is Inter, as the 29-year-old’s name is apparently one on their list as they look to bolster their front line in January following Alexis Sánchez’s injury.

More than that, they see Pukki as a ‘vice-Lukaku’, as Giuseppe Marotta will set his sights abroad to ‘gift’ a new striker to Antonio Conte.

Scoring twice against Armenia on Tuesday evening, the forward has shown he can do it all levels, smashing it in the Championship last year and continuing his form after Norwich’s promotion, and Inter seemingly like what they see.

Calcio Mercato News continue by saying that what makes Pukki even more appealing is that Inter can take advantage of his lack of experiences and their ‘identity card’ to get an ‘advantageous price’.

That, to us, seems very hopeful from Inter’s and CMW’s part, as we cannot see Norwich, a Premier League club not exactly strapped for cash, handing their star forward over for a pittance just because a big Serie A club come knocking on their door.

The website state Pukki could be swayed as this would represent ‘his last great chance of his career’ in Europe, and with so many games to play at Inter, he ‘would surely have his chances’.

We’ll believe it when we see it, but, to us, the Olivier Giroud option makes more sense than this.
