Earlier on Thursday, we covered Marca’s claims regarding Valencia’s interest in Everton’s Sandro Ramirez, as the La Liga side look for an adequate backup for Simone Zaza.

An official was said to have already travelled to London to meet with Peter Lim, the Spanish side’s owner, to discuss a plan to get their man, and there was hope a deal could be done.

One stumbling block is the Everton forward’s wages, which happen to be a bit too large, even for Valencia, and we suggested that if a permanent transfer can’t be found, Valencia could also seek a loan with an obligation of purchase in the summer, allowing them to be more flexible on price and not so scared of FFP.’

Well, if Le Parisien are to be believed, that’s exactly what the La Liga outfit plan on doing, with the French newspaper revealing a ‘loan for Sandro’ is their top January priority.

The information comes in a small article about Valencia’s reported interest in two Paris Saint-Germain wantaways: Lucas Moura and Javier Pastore.

Having recently negotiated over the summer the loan of Gonçalo Guedes for the current campaign, the two sides are on good terms, which could facilitate talks going forward.

The last time Everton and Valencia completed a transfer between them? Manuel Fernandes’ loan for the 2007-08 season.
