Real Madrid are ‘aware’ that Manchester United are eyeing up a move for Casemiro but are not contemplating a sale for now.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who provide their own information on United’s interest in the Brazilian midfielder.
They say that the Spanish club know Manchester United have sent ‘emissaries’ to Madrid and Casemiro is one of their targets.
At the moment there has been no formal offer but those in charge at the offices in Valdebebas are ‘keeping an eye’ on the situation because that could change ‘at any moment’.
The Spanish giants are not contemplating selling Casemiro for the time being and he does not seem to be keen on a move to the Premier League either.
That does not mean, though, the situation can’t change and the newspaper quotes Onda Cero stating a €70m offer could be in the making.
That, according to the radio station, is a figure which could make Real Madrid think about a deal. While Carlo Ancelotti considers the player as ‘untouchable’, Aurelien Tchouameni has arrived as a replacement for the 30-year-old this summer.
Thus, they could be tempted into a sale, although for the moment Casemiro is not thinking of swapping Real Madrid for Manchester United.
The message from his club, however, is that it is going to be a long summer and ‘anything can happen’ before the window closes.
