Even after Chelsea decided against keeping Gonzalo Higuaín, Olivier Giroud’s playing time has been limited due to the emergence of Tammy Abraham.
The World Cup winner has been restricted to two starts in all competitions, one of which was in his side’s UEFA Super Cup defeat to Liverpool.
According to Calciomercato.it, the France international could push for a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, if his situation doesn’t improve before then.
It’s claimed the striker could become a market opportunity for AC Milan. They may be in need of an attacker having scored only four goals in six league games, and given they’re sitting 16th in the table.
The report only suggests that Giroud can be an option for Milan, especially if the rumours of Krzysztof Piątek leaving the San Siro for a big European club become concrete.
Calciomercato.it makes it clear there’s been no negotiations with Giroud for any potential transfers and they’e only suggesting about a possible deal with the Serie A side in January.
