Moise Kean wasn’t a part of Roberto Mancini’s Euro 2020 squad, meaning the Everton owned player missed out on winning the tournament.

He’d had a pretty good season on loan from the Toffees at PSG and was included in the provisional 28 man squad named by the manager, only to miss out when the final cut was made.

Kean has repeatedly faced criticism in Italy, with suggestions his attitude towards being a professional footballer hasn’t always been the best. It’s part and parcel of being in the spotlight from such a young age, and having to grow up with the football world, and specifically the media, watching.

Now the 21-year-old is back at Juventus, moving on a loan which will almost certainly be converted into a permanent transfer from Everton. It’s been noticed that his application has improved, and Marco Nosotti, an Italian journalist, believes that could be down to working under Carlo Ancelotti, even if it was only very briefly.

Quoted by JuventusNews24, Nosotti said: “When he arrived at PSG he was one of the few who arrived on time to work in training; perhaps at Everton he learned this from Ancelotti. In the national team he had attitudes that Mancini did not like, he was not taken and the others won the European championship. But let’s try not to read with this lens what young people are doing, who must grow up and can make mistakes.”
