Wolves suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the weekend to Manchester City, with John Stones scoring a very late and dramatic winner.
Jorgen Strand Larsen scored the first goal of the game, giving Wolves fans hope of a big result at home. It wasn’t to be, but the summer signing impressed once again.
It was his third goal of the season, and after the game on Sunday, Larsen spoke to VG about how his time at Wolves has been so far.
He said: “Now I have two [goals] in a row, and of course it’s a wonderful feeling. But we really want to win games and then we also know that there will be more goals. Just keep a cool head.”
The Norwegian attacker also spoke about how things are in the dressing room after the loss to Manchester, City and said: “There is such a bad atmosphere when we go in and we feel we deserve a small point. But that’s the way the world is.
“It is a difficult period now, but we have to take the positive out of it.”
Wolves are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season, and Larsen’s impressive start from a personal perspective is somewhat clouded by that.
The upcoming game against Brighton would provide Larsen and Wolves with a chance to get those points which everyone associated with the club desperately wants.
