Last month, we covered claims from Sweden that Celtic are showing interest in Hammarby IF’s Bazoumana Touré. Brendan Rodgers’ side didn’t make an approach in the summer window but continue to keep close tabs on him.

That’s according to Fotbolldirekt, who share the latest on Celtic’s interest in the 18-year-old.

Touré joined Hammarby from Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas in March 2024 and signed a deal until December 2028. The winger has impressed for the Swedish club, scoring six goals and registering three assists from 16 games.

His displays have attracted interest from several clubs. The list includes Celtic, Crystal Palace, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Benfica. According to the report, the Scottish champions are ‘seriously interested’.

Celtic chief scout Joe Lefevre has travelled to Stockholm to take a closer look at the player in action for Hammarby. The Bhoys representative is said to have been impressed by Touré.

It’s claimed a ‘strong development’ is expected to take place around his future, as Celtic position themselves to sign the youngster.

Hammarby hope to collect €10m for their ‘super talent’. The report makes no mention of whether Brendan Rodgers’ side are willing to match their request.
