Argentine outlet Diagonales brings today an interesting piece on the future of the Gimnasia La Plata striker Jan Hurtado, with Newcastle United getting a mention.
They start it by reporting the player’s anger with some transfer rumours. Local news have said that he’s changed agents, which hasn’t happened.
On an Instagram post, Hurtado has claimed that only Rodolfo Baque can negotiate on his behalf. Although he turned down the rumours, he also made it clear that his agent is authorised to speak with other clubs.
And it turns out that Diagonales brings a list of European sides who could be signing Hurtado this summer, and Newcastle United are one of them.
The Magpies are named alongside Marseille and ‘some German sides’ as those who have made offers to the player’s staff.
Diagonales claims that Hurtado is protected by a US$10m release clause, and since Gimnasia don’t have 100% of his rights, they would want to get as much as they can from a transfer.
