SportMediaSet, via TuttoNapoli, are reporting on Thursday evening that Everton could be handed the opportunity to sign a much wanted striker.
It’s claimed that Manolo Gabbiadini’s agent has flown to England to try and complete a deal, and that Everton are prepared to pay between €25m and €30m to sign the Italian striker.
Gabbiadini was a useful understudy to Gonzalo Higuain last season at Napoli, and showed he could be more than that. Fiorentina have been interested in a deal but it’s claimed the trip to England is because talks on a move to Florence have hit trouble.
Tutto Napoli give no opinion either way on the rumour, and SportMediaSet do report an awful lot.
The latest claim from Naples newspaper Il Mattino is that ‘sirens’ have been coming from England for Gabbiadini, with Everton mentioned.
It’s understandable if Everton are interested, but they may well be caught in a Fiorentina and Napoli domestic, and hopefully the situation will become clearer on Friday.
