Torino striker Andrea Belotti lives a peculiar situation which could soon force him out of his club.
First is the fact that his contract expires next summer, which could alone be a reason for a January sale. Then there’s the issue of him being out of Italy’s squad lately, meaning he has little time to show he deserves to be in the World Cup squad.
The scenarios are evaluated today by website Torino Granata, who include Arsenal in a few outcomes which could happen in the next transfer window.
The most simple one is Belotti’s move to the Gunners in January. Torino wouldn’t be against a sale, as they’d avoid losing him for free in the summer. And regarding his objective of playing the World Cup, there’s only a little concern about him being far from Italy and perhaps not having a starting spot in London right away.
Now here’s where the city of Milan is brought into the story.
Firstly, should Belotti arrive at Arsenal, Alexandre Lacazette could be on his way out, with Inter Milan ‘liking him more’ as time passes. So the Frenchman would open up a spot for the Italian in the Gunners’ squad, and finally sort out his exit from the club.
However, Belotti also draws interest from the very same Inter Milan and their city rivals AC Milan. And in case he moves to the Nerazzurri, Torino Granata says that could result in Alexis Sanchez returning to the Emirates Stadium, which seems very unlikely.
Even though the website doesn’t mention a price for Belotti, his move away from Turin seems to be a growing possibility for January, and the domino effect could dictate what will happen.
