Spanish newspaper AS reports PSG want Casemiro to replace Thiago Motta at the French club.

Casemiro has been an important part of Zinedine Zidane’s team at Real Madrid, perhaps despite all the odds, and his reliability in midfield has obviously brought some admirers.

With 37 appearances so far this season, the 26 year old continues to prove his worth, and AS report that’s caught the attention of PSG and Manchester United.

The Spanish newspaper claim a ‘few months ago’ Manchester United tried to tempt Casemiro with a move to Old Trafford, and now there’s a ‘stratospheric offer’ being prepared by PSG.

AS don’t explain how much that offer would be, but they point out Casemiro’s buyout clause is €200m and PSG aren’t going to match that.

Manchester United are expected to move for midfielders in the summer window, and it would be no surprise if Jose Mourinho is a fan of the Brazilian, but he’ll know how hard a transfer would be.

Casemiro probably doesn’t want to leave, Real Madrid don’t want to sell, so that should pretty much be that. This could all be an effort from AS to make sure everyone is reminded how good Casemiro is.
