As you all know by now, it’s not surprising at all to open the first pages of Tuttosport and see a big story about Paul Pogba.
The Italian newspaper today has an article about the ‘strategy’ adopted both by Manchester United and Juventus regarding what is described as the player’s recent behaviour.
They take Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s recent quotes about Pogba to show that even though the manager has been positive about him, the words haven’t been very effective, since the player doesn’t look like he’s eager to be fully fit for the club.
That’s why after demanding €170m for a sale in the last summer, the Red Devils could now revaluate the situation and sell him for less in 2020.
Even though Manchester United have the right to trigger a clause to extend Pogba’s contract, which would expire in 2021, the player’s silent rebellion could convince them to finally let him go instead.
But Juventus aren’t expected to move so soon. Tuttosport says the plan is to wait until next summer, when they would make a strong attempt and finally try to close a deal. The outlet expects the transfer to cost at least €100m, and Mino Raiola would have a big part in helping the Old Lady.
