Outlet O Jogo won’t give up on the idea that Manchester United have lost the race for Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca.
The Brazilian has been officialy announced by Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande on a six-month loan deal last week, which doesn’t mean the rumours about his future will go silent.
This Monday, O Jogo has a story saying this loan will turn out to be quite profitable for Benfica, as the deal could end up costing Guangzhou €25m.
The newspaper doesn’t have any details if this amount would depend on performance bonuses or even a buying option. They only claim the Eagles could make that much money, and mention that Manchester United lost the race.
Now how could Guanghzou win the battle for Talisca if the very same O Jogo claimed that Manchester United’s bid had been of €40m? Were the personal terms offered by the Chinese side much more attractive?
This story continues to get weird. It’s worth recalling that this morning, a new chapter was born as Watford were pointed out as contenders to sign the player in the January window.
Talisca just can’t get a rest.
