We’ve read something pretty uncommon in the Chilean press today, which just couldn’t be ignored after all the coverage we’ve been making about the Alexis Sanchez stories.
As the Arsenal fans already know, the player’s home country press is often encouraging him to leave the London side, sometimes with fake rumours, and others with stories like the one which said that without him, the Gunners would finish 10th.
But it seems the feeling has drastically changed, at least for La Tercera, who has a column from journalist Rodrigo Sepúlveda today saying that Sanchez should focus at Arsenal and prove how good he is.
They followed every Sanchez’ movement in the game against West Brom, and show how important he is for the London side, and how much the team depends on him.
The story is called ‘The soul of Arsenal’, and the pledge for him to give his best for the club comes at the end of it, where the journalist says: “His technique in speed and his imagination to create in confined spaces make him very different from the rest of the ten Reds that surround him”.
“That’s his path, keep ringing his name in the most competitive league in the world. His real mission is to forget his transfer, stop listening to all the s*** that flies around, close his circle, work to be the best of the Premier League and bring Chile to the World Cup. The rest, in the trash”.
