Stoke City are one of several clubs interested in Strømsgodset left-back Prosper Mendy this month.
The Potters are still in the midst of a relegation battle in the Championship, with just four points separating them from the bottom three.
Additions this month could help them push further up the table and out of trouble, and it seems one man they have their eye on is Mendy.
According to FootMercato, Stoke are one of several clubs who could ‘quickly draw up a contract offer’ for the 23-year-old should they wish.
The Potters are not the only interested party with Montreal Impact, two Premier League clubs and Lyon all also named.
It is Marseille who are most keen, though, having already made an offer to the player, who would be keen on the move were it proposed.
They are yet to make an offer to Strømsgodset but ‘could quickly submit a proposal’ as they look for a player to provide competition to Jordan Amavi at left-back.
The suggestion is that the French club are at the front of the queue at present and it seems that if Stoke are genuinely interested, they may have to move quickly to get their man.
