Manchester City signed Spanish striker Ruben Sobrino at the start of the season from SD Ponferradina, and the player was immediately loaned out to Girona FC in the Segunda division.
Sobrino, however, has been unlucky with injuries this season, and missed most of the games. The 24-year-old has impressed in the few games he has played this season, and that has caught the eye of several clubs in Europe.
According to Spanish website Diari de Girona, Stoke City are interested in Sobrino.
The Spanish website say several teams have asked Manchester City for the player apart from Stoke, including Genoa, Real Betis, and Deportivo La Coruna.
Manchester City have even received an offer to permanently sell the player, although it’s not mentioned if that offer came from Stoke City.
Sobrino just managed over 800 minutes of football last season, with 2 goals and 3 assists to his name.
