Taking his time before signing his first professional contract with Bordeaux, Yassine Benrahou is attracting attention from Stoke City and Bolton, according to Tanguy Le Seviller.

The France Football and L’Equipe TV journalist revealed the information on his Twitter account early on Sunday morning, with Stoke being joined by the Championship side and Leganes in Spain in following the 19-year-old’s situation.

Yet to make a first-team appearance for the Ligue 1 side, the young attacking midfielder is, however, prepared to ignore the advances of Paul Lambert’s new side, as he explained to Gold FM, relayed by WebGirondins, he would prefer to stay where he is.

He said: “I think everyone has their own path. It’s clear that I want to sign a professional contract, and I don’t want to do that anywhere other than at Bordeaux. I’m focused on this club and will give my priority to them.”

This means that it’s up to the French club to make their move, as, if they don’t, there’s a trio (perhaps even more) of clubs waiting in the shadows to pounce if they don’t.

Benrahou made two appearances for Bordeaux in the UEFA Youth League this season in the qualifying stages against RB Salzburg.
