Stoke City are one of the English clubs most linked to Sandro Ramirez, with Mark Hughes leading the club’s interest.
Interest was first reported when Sandro was in Barcelona’s B team, and Sport say there was an effort to sign the player back then.
The Catalan newspaper also claim Stoke made an effort to sign Sandro when he was a free agent last summer. With his Barcelona contract finished, Sandro was able to pick his club, and made several demands of Malaga to get his move.
Once of those was a low buyout clause, which the player confirmed last week is around €6m. Sandro’s recent form for Malaga, 6 goals in his last 6 games, makes that amount seem a bargain.
Sport call the potential €6m fee ‘almost laughable’, which gives an indication of what good value they believe it is for the 21 year old.
Stoke and Hughes would face strong competition to sign the young Spaniard, with a number of Premier League and La Liga clubs showing a serious interest.
Mark Hughes’ long term interest could sway things in their favour, giving Sandro confidence he’d actually be used.
